How to book

This is for patients who have had medication started with us or those who have been receiving their medication via a Shared Care Agreement with their GP but need their annual review.

These sessions enable us to understand how ADHD is negatively impacting your life, to discuss your current and past physical and mental health, any current conditions or medications and talk about your lifestyle. We then have a brief medications education session so that you can start treatment fully informed, and any questions you may have can be answered. We will then send out your first prescription.

Before we are able to prescribe we require:-

1-A copy of your diagnosis report

2-A copy of your patient summary from your GP to inform us of your current health.

3- A cardiac assessment needs to be completed. Your GP may be happy to do this but many patients will need to see a private GP, as we are a private service. The GP will need to take a brief history in relation to cardiac health  and we require height, weight, blood pressure and pulse, plus evidence that heart and lungs were listened to and were clear. An ECG is not needed unless something comes up in the history or examination. Needless ECGs may reveal benign issues which mean we are unable to supply medication which may benefit you.

 If you have been stable on medication for at least two months, and your GP accepts Shared Care requests from private clinics we can apply for  Shared Care. This is a contract between us and your GP and would entail  getting your prescriptions from them each month, as an NHS expenses, and for you to have your blood pressure, pulse, height and weight to be checked by them every 6 months. The Clearly Focused ADHD Clinic would retain overall care of your ADHD management, with an annual review to ensure medication is both adequate and necessary, and most of all safe. Any concerns with medication or the need to amend doses would be undertaken by the Clearly Focused ADHD Clinic and you are able to refer back to us at any point.
