Medication Initiation (patients new to medication or looking for advice/second opinion on treatments
Starting or changing ADHD medication can be a big step, and you are bound to have questions! When you book this Zoom consultation, we will send you a list of requirements from your GP before we prescribe. This is so that we can be confident any medication we prescribe is completely safe and appropriate for you. During this consultation, we will discuss the various ADHD pharmaceutical treatments, how they work, their side effects, benefits and costs, to enable you to come to an informed decision about what would work for you. We will then issue your first private prescription, which is sent to you via Royal Mail, to take to your local pharmacy.
Patients with a valid diagnosis from another ADHD assessment provider can also use this service, if the medication route now feels appropriate.
Medication Review
Started on medication?
These appointments are a chance for you to discuss treatment with your clinician.
Beforehand, we will need an up to date blood pressure, pulse and weight. This is so that we can see how the medication is affecting you. During the review we will discuss what is going well, what is going not so well and formulate a treatment plan from then on. This appointment includes the issue of your next prescription.
